Thomas Moher

Tom started Burundi Orphan Relief following a trip to Burundi with Pastor Jeremy Self in 2005. Poverty was expected bbut not the incredible spirit of our Burundi hosts. We learned about the needs that civil war and HIV/AIDS brought and how far a dollar could stretch to change lives in Burundi. With that revelation, the seeds of BurundiOrphan Relief were planted. Firmly believing that Burundians know what they need better than Americans, Tom partnered with Delphin Sula to help Delphin implement his vision for oephan relief in Burundi.

Tom earned degrees in Sociology and Biology and spent his career in scientific equipment sales and management. He had the good sense to marry Sandy, his wife of 41 years.

Sandy Moher

As Secretary/Treasurer of BOR, Sandy is an invaluable member of the BOR team. She has made 2 trips to Burundi with Tom, in 2006 and 2010. Sandy was a hit wih our hosts who informed Tom that he didn't have to make the trip if Sandy came.

Sandy has a BA in Education and has spent time doing real estate investing and property management. She spends much of her time looking after her grandson, Judah. She and Tom are active members of Gardens Presbyterian Church in South Florida.
